On Thursday night, the biggest names from the music and culinary world came together at the Keep Memory Alive Event Center for a special benefit in honor of Chef Kerry Simon who has been battling the effects of Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) for several years, with the confirmation diagnosis coming just late last year. Pollstar Live! 2014 uses digital voting, vouchers to enhance conference

Pollstar-Live-Conference-voting-nfc-event-badges-smallPollstar Live! 2014 has incorporated a digital voting application this year to facilitate their annual music poster voting.

The live-event voting application allows each attendee to cast a single vote for their favorite music poster (each of which is displayed in the poster contest area for the duration of the conference). The voting application is part of an Access Event Technology Platform, connecting tech-enabled conference badges to a customized event-application to enable streamlined conference functions that make any conference better managed and more engaging for conference attendees.

Each custom conference badge, created by Access Pass & Design, includes an NFC tag (a type of RFID technology), and each tag was encoded to represent the individual attendee. Access introduced its event management technology at the National Sports Forum 2014 to representatives from sports teams, event marketing agencies, and sports industry vendors from around the country.

The event technology platform allowed National Sports Forum 2014 attendees (along with their tech-enabled custom conference badges using RFID/NFC technology) to accomplish four main digital (wireless) functions: access control, drink voucher redemption, automated photo upload to Facebook, and credential distribution.
