Access Pass & Design opened its doors on January 2, 2002. Owners Seth Sheck, Brad Diller, and Frank Himler, all former employees of T-Bird and familiar with the security credential game, decided to throw their hat in the ring. From the meager beginnings of a single copy machine and a few folding chairs in an otherwise empty warehouse to a state-of-the-art production facility brimming with cutting edge printing technologies and creative experts at the controls, Access has grown by leaps and bounds and shows no signs of slowing.
A worldwide leader in the field of security credentials, Access has forged a solid reputation for combining award-winning artistic creation with the latest security features and doing it all while setting new standards in quality and customer service as well as the industry’s fastest turn-around times. With an ever-increasing list of innovations (check out the services page!) Access Pass & Design is also advancing security beyond plain old laminated paper. Access has the rare distinction of being a company that is both extremely professional and, to put it bluntly, pretty cool. As Seth likes to say, “We merge security with sexy.”
The Northern Nevada Human Resources Association nominated Access Pass & Design in both 2009 and 2011 as a “Best Place to Work” and it’s easy to see why. From Seth on down, everyone at Access has enthusiasm and a pride in what they do that is very real. Seth Sheck born and raised in Reno, NV and began managing bands in high school. From there he found employment at T-Bird Entertainment in 1989, which began his career in the credential manufacturing business. He has since worked for Perri Entertainment, owned a nightclub and concert venue and several other small businesses before starting Access Pass & Design on Jan. 2, 2002. He prides himself on bringing new and innovative solutions to the marketplace and has a knack for identifying opportunity. To further serve the music community, he has recently created Access World Entertainment which includes a group of companies including, Access Artist Management, Access Agency Group, Circle A Records and Access Imprints.

Brad came into the printing industry by way of newspapers. He met Frank and Seth at T-Bird Entertainment where he was employed as a graphic designer in 2000. When APD opened in 2002, Brad was the art director, moving into the production manager’s position in 2004. He currently is the Chief Financial Officer and is a pretty good cartoonist.

Many of Frank’s 25+ years in the printing industry has been spent honing his skills as a machine operator and immersing himself in state of the art print technology. When Frank is not busy leveraging his vast experience implementing new ideas and adding value to our products, you will find him camping, hunting and fishing all over the west. Frank grew up in a family owned printing company in the San Francisco Bay Area. “No doubt there is ink in his blood”.
Employees are our company’s biggest assets, and Frank has invested much time in the area of H/R here at APD. With rapid company growth, it has become very important to support our staff with the best possible H/R practices. Frank believes if you invest in the individual the individual will become invested in the company.

A native of Reno and a Naval Academy grad, Cecil finished his MBA at UNR and came to work at Access in June, 2011.

The Warrior Poet! When Carl’s not providing some of the sexiest passes for his clients or paying them a visit before a big concert, he writes & records music. Playing guitar, drums, bass, and keyboards, Carl has released three albums’ to date and is currently working on his fourth – coming in 2012. Some of his inspirations include The Beatles, Oasis, Muse and other Britpop artists. He loves watching Old English movies, while drinking a nice cold ale and smoking a good cigar.
